| Hi all ~
I just joined the forum and was hoping for some insight. We are looking at an 86 Beaver and would love to hear from other owners. The quality of the original build seems high and everything appeared to be in working order.
I'm headed back up next week to go through the unit more carefully, but this will be our first RV. I have tried to find more information here and on other websites, but it seems there is not that much out there.
Any information would be helpful
Thanks
Chris |

| Someplace or other on this forum there is a check list for inspecting used Motorhomes. Not sure where anymore though. Try the search. |

Test drive everything. I mean turn on the frig, furnaces, ACs, water heater, ect. With everything running drive it down the road. Well, maybe not everything running, but run what you can.
Is there a genset? Start it up and put a full load on it. You know, ACs.
See how it steers on the highway, and if you can, in the wind. If it is hard to handle it might mean steering and suspension problems. Ours needed shocks badly and wandered all over in a wind.
You might ask the owner to turn on the frig a day prior and then you can see how cold it gets. |

| Can you post where you found the checklist? I'm not in the market for a motorhome but wouldn't mind taking a look at the checklist.
Check the alternator output and make sure its working.
Check the inverter and converter and make sure they are working properly.
Check the floors for any water damage. |

I found a couple of check lists. There was one on this site, but I think I prefer this one. http://changingears.com/rv-checklist-inspection.shtml Chris |
