Hello all, Happy new year! I have done it now. I have just purchased a 73 Krager 28'. Found it on Craigslist and went and picked it up on the 29th. Drove it home with very little incident. No unscheduled stops. It has a fairly new drive train. The original IH 392?? was replaced with a Chrysler 440 with a Quadrajet and a TF 727 tranny. Lots of custom work on this one. It is in fairly good condition for a 35 yr old vehicle. Seems to be well cared for. It has been changed to sleep only two. For now we will live with it this way and put the kids on an air mattress. I have never had an RV before, but so far I am on board with the project. So far it has been quite interesting...all three days of it. A few bugs to work out, but nothing major. Even rebuilt one of the 12v gimball lights already. New tires are next this week. Grateful the 20 yr old tires brought me home. Lots of questions will be forthcoming as I get deeper into the whole thing. I hope to find out why I did this.....lost my mind I guess. Plan to have fun anyway. Any other Kragers out there?

Larry,
Welcome to the site. You've found the home for people like us :). I personally don't know much about a Krager...it sounds great. Can you post some pics? Maybe some of our other members can give you some more info on what sounds like a great Old RV.

Welcome pjude.  We don't have nearly as many members yet, but these are all motorhome people.  Pose you question and give it some time and you'll get an answer.  Most of us also monitor the AS Forum as well.  Meanwhile, look around.  There is a lot of info here already.

WELCOME CAJUNCRUISER.  Glad you made it over.  Would you consider taking a few pictures and explaining how you solve this problem with the lights.  Might help somebody else down the road.
