I recently underwent a project a long time overdue on my rig, the installation of the GearVenders under/overdrive & a new design exhaust system. First off the people at GV are VERY confident & knowledgeable about their product & for good reason. I am delighted with this product & I'll be putting another GV in my Classic Chevy soon. The noise reduction & fuel economy benefits are long term investments. With fuel costs & niose stress reduced this is initally expensive but worthwhile in the longrun. My compliments to GV. I do not have any MPG figures yet but already my gas stops have become fewer than my previous routine. Now about the exhaust. I used the Hedman "ELITE" hedders going into flex unions, back to the "X" cross pipes & through one set of DNA stainless mufflers (with 95% flow rate) & finally a set of Flowmasters. This setup is very quiet & durable. One could use any other type of mufflers to achieve comparable results but the "X" design balances out the exhaust pulse & raises the note to a less audible level. Your engine WILL sound & run very different & smooth with performance you can feel. This design is comparable to the ones you'll seeon NASCARS & many road & Track vehicles. It's nice to be able to enjoy the technology available today & not have to settle for less than standard equipment! All for now, I be back with more soon. Happy Motoring Steve

pics would have been nice. Did you do the install yourself? How much was the total cost of the GV? have you checked the gas mileage yet? have been thinking of installing one myself.

I have (in the past 3 years) just about replaced all the running gear on this unit & haven't gotten thruogh yet. I performed all the work Myself except balance the driveshaft. The Gear Venders is the icing on the cake & I would do it again with NO reservations. There are pics on my home page showing the exhaust & other mods I 've done.
I have tried three articles & can't seem to get them posted. can you check this out as I have plenty to relate about some fantastic concept by EAGLE Research. A system said to double & even triple gas mileage. I'll be installing this equipmet next week or two & planning a trip to Coral Castle to check all this new stuff out . Imagine 15 to 20 MPG in a Class A RV?!
About gas mileage I don't have any documented figures but I recently made a trip to Tarpon Springs a 300 mile trip & used less thah 30 gallons. These are rough estimates but my auxillary tank was not full when I left so I'm guessing only 11 or 12 mpg. I'm STILL not disappointed as the noise from the engine is gone & Quite a pleasure to drive now>
Before I go I'll share a little something. Three days ago I installed a set of CENTRAMATICS & how wonderful these wheel assembly balancers work. They just plain do the job! GET SOME!
Be sure to catch ths pics on my personal page.
Thanks for the correspondance
Good Motoring to everyone & Please
DRIVE CAREFUL
