Gee, I must be off or something???  two years ago, I bought two CB's that have a weather warning system built in. Its a Cobra 29wx. Has all fourty channels a channel 9/19 switch and I think 12 channels of Weather. And the trick is You always have to have  power and even if the radio is turned off, if a alert comes to you it makes the radio alarm go off and its loud!! enough so that the first time I heard it, I went for the ceiling with claws attached!!! It has let us know severial times that something was in the air!! I don't know how many models have this feature but I know thaty some have weather channels but no warning system. I bought the best of both worlds!! Dan

Reminds me of the little 5- or 10- minute shows I used to see on PBS, "Stargazers" with Jack Horkheimer, who loved talking about naked-eye astronomy. His enthusiasm was contagious and he really made me want to go outside and look into the sky to see for myself all the fantastic stuff he talked about. I loved that show!
